The Avenues features the south east’s only all digital theater with stadium seating, Abercrombie, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Ted’s Grill, and other specialty shops. All are welcome on Lake Lanier and for our out of town residents your first trip on the lake might be startling at the size of boats cruising the lake. On a weekend tour it is not unusual to find 35′ cigarette boats, 120′x20 houseboats, and 65′+ yachts cruising the lake. Lanier is a very large lake. Along the Chattahoochee river just south of Buford Dam residents with a trout stamp will find Georgia best trout fishing. Although the north Georgia mountains are are to beat with the scenic views and rushing waters well over 800,000 trout are released yearly below Buford Dam. Most anglers float the river in tubes or small boats, fishing the “hooch” should be at the top of your list for Forsyth County recreation.
