Considered one of the nations highest income areas in the nation South Forsyth has much to offer. In south Forsyth you will find a Kroger or Publix’s on almost every street corner with Walgreen just across the street. Forsyth County just added the Avenues shopping center located at 141 and Georgia 400 two years ago. The Avenues features the south east’s only all digital theater with stadium seating, Abercrombie, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Ted’s Grill, and other specialty shops. The AJC posted an article this year about the Avenues being one of the few power centers across the country actually adding tenants during the market setback. Forsyth County claims a large portion of Lake Lanier shore line offering both residential and recreational possibilities year round. Along the Chattahoochee river just south of Buford Dam residents with a trout stamp will find Georgia best trout fishing. Most anglers float the river in tubes or small boats, fishing the “hooch” should be at the top of your list for South Forsyth County recreation.
